Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, Ayodeji Balogun, fondly called Wizkid, has hit a new global milestone becoming the first African artist to surpass an estimated 20 billion global audio on-demand streams.
This record-breaking moment comes as both his solo tracks and collaborations collectively hit the 20 billion mark, according to data from international music monitoring platform, Chart Masters.
Wizkid’s most streamed track remains Canadian superstar Drake’s ‘One Dance,’ which featured him and Kyla. The hit song has over 3.628 billion streams on Spotify and holds a Guinness World Record as the first song to reach 1 billion streams on the platform.

He also made history as the first African artist to earn the Brit Billion Award after surpassing one billion audio on-demand streams in the UK.
With over 65 million units sold worldwide, Wizkid stands tall as the best-selling Afrobeats artist to date.
