World Teachers’ Day: Abiodun Celebrates Ogun Teachers, Reaffirms Commitment to Their Welfare

As the world marks World Teachers’ Day 2025, Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has joined millions across the globe in celebrating teachers, describing them as vital nation builders whose dedication continues to shape the future of society.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the governor praised teachers in the state for their commitment, patience, and selfless service in nurturing the next generation.

“Today, as the world marks World Teachers’ Day, we join millions around the globe to celebrate and honour our teachers — the true nation builders whose knowledge, patience, and commitment continue to shape the future of our children and our dear state,” Abiodun said.

Highlighting his administration’s efforts in revitalising the education sector, the governor noted that Ogun State had made significant progress through the upgrading of school infrastructure, enhancement of teachers’ welfare, promotion of digital learning, and continuous professional development.

“In Ogun State, we are proud of the progress we have achieved together in revitalising education. Abiodun also saluted educators across Nigeria for their dedication, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to supporting and empowering them.

“As we celebrate this special day, we salute every teacher across Ogun State and Nigeria for their dedication and selfless service. We reaffirm our commitment to supporting and empowering them as they continue to nurture the minds that will build a greater tomorrow,” he said.
