Kaduna lawmaker, Hon. Usman Garba Zingo, has been released by armed bandits on Sunday evening, the 15th of February, 2026, bringing relief and joy to his family, supporters, and community members.
Reports indicate that Zingo was allegedly abducted while travelling from Zamfara to Kaduna, though the Kaduna State Assembly has denied that any abduction occurred.
Meanwhile, Bakatsine, a security expert in the North West, shared a video on X congratulating the lawmaker and extending well-wishes.
The circumstances surrounding his release remain unclear, including whether any conditions were met, as neither security agencies nor his family have provided official details.

Following news of his return, residents gathered to welcome Zingo back, offering prayers of gratitude to Almighty Allah for his safe recovery.
As of now, no formal statement has been issued regarding the release.
