Dr Oluwole Oluyede, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ekiti State, has unveiled a comprehensive vision for governance centred on inclusiveness, openness and sustainable growth.
Speaking with journalists on Saturday in Ikere Ekiti, Oluyede said his decision to contest the governorship election stems from a strong commitment to enhancing the living conditions of residents, especially ordinary citizens whom he described as the backbone of the state.
The PDP flagbearer outlined his plans ahead of the June 20 governorship election scheduled by the Independent National Electoral Commission, which will feature candidates from 13 political parties.
“My ambition is for the generality of Ekiti State. Governance under my watch will be designed to deliver real impact across communities,” Oluyede said.
He explained that, if elected, his administration would focus on implementing people-oriented policies and programmes that reflect the needs and expectations of the populace, while adhering strictly to principles of accountability, coordination and good governance.
“Our government will operate a seamless administrative structure where all arms and levels of government work in synergy to achieve clearly defined developmental objectives.

My priority is the betterment of every common Ekiti person. No group will be marginalised under my leadership. Our administration’s policies will cut across all strata of society, irrespective of educational, occupational or social background,” he said.
Oluyede also pledged to stimulate social, economic and infrastructural development across the state. He emphasised the importance of creating more economic opportunities, supporting small and medium enterprises, and expanding access to essential services including healthcare, education and rural development.
The PDP candidate further assured that his administration would be anchored on transparency and accountability, stressing that public confidence is vital for effective governance.
He added that his government would remain accessible and responsive, with a clear focus on delivering tangible improvements in the lives of citizens.
“My vision is to build a state where prosperity is shared and opportunities are accessible to all. Inclusive governance remains the surest path to long-term stability and development.”
