2027: Akwa Ibom Youths Rally Support for Tinubu, Akpabio, Umo Eno

Youth groups in Akwa Ibom State, under the umbrella of Akwa Ibom Youth United, have announced plans for a statewide rally to formally endorse President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Governor Umo Eno ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The rally is scheduled to hold today, December 30, 2025 in Uyo and is being positioned as a youth-led mobilisation aimed at reaffirming support for continuity in leadership at the federal, legislative, state levels.

In a statement issued by the rally’s Organising Committee, the programme is themed “Renewed Hope | ARISE | Akwa Ibom – ARISE to Renewed Hope,” which the youths described as an expression of confidence in the current administration’s development agenda and governance direction.

The statement was jointly endorsed by the Member Representing Oron Federal Constituency, Hon. Martin Esin, and the Commissioner for Youth Development, Dr. Ekerette Ekanem.

It outlined a series of activities, including a press briefing, the commissioning of the ARISE Compassionate Automobile Workshop, a mass youth gathering, and a solidarity street walk along major routes in Uyo.

Organisers called on youths across the state, as well as supporters of the ARISE, Renewed Hope movements, to participate actively, stressing that the rally will be peaceful and driven entirely by young people.

They added that the event is expected to culminate in a grand finale in Uyo, where Governor Umo Eno is billed to address an estimated crowd of over 100,000 youths, marking what the committee described as a collective youth endorsement of the present political leadership ahead of 2027.
