Former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Udom Emmanuel, has urged Nigerians to put political, ethnic, and religious divisions aside and rally around President Bola Tinubu as the country confronts growing economic and social challenges.
In a statement released on Monday, December 1, Emmanuel made the appeal during an interactive session with journalists at the Pre-Service of Nine Lessons and Carols held on Sunday at the United Evangelical Church, Surulere, Lagos.
The former governor said Nigeria had reached a critical juncture, warning that disunity could worsen the nation’s problems.
He called for collective effort and a renewed spirit of patriotism to help the President succeed and restore national stability.

“This is not the time to dwell on factors that create divisions, the issues that expand the frontiers of our disagreements and further undermine our national unity,” Emmanuel said.
He advised citizens from every political and religious background to “pull together to confront our common enemies” by supporting President Tinubu’s efforts to address the nation’s pressing challenges.
Emmanuel also called on the President to remain steadfast in implementing policies that will stabilise the economy and deliver good governance, saying unity and purposeful leadership are crucial for progress.
He added that “only through cooperation, faith, and shared responsibility can Nigeria rise above its current difficulties and realise its true potential.”
