Abdul-Azeez Adediran, widely known as Jandor, believes President Bola Tinubu will have little trouble securing reelection in 2027.
The former Lagos PDP governorship candidate, who recently rejoined the All Progressives Congress (APC), said Tinubu’s political strength has grown since 2023 and would deliver him a sweeping win.
Jandor shared his views on Thursday, October 2, during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today.
He argued that the surprises that shook the political establishment in 2023 would not be repeated at the next polls.
“Remember, in 2023, Jandor and his Lagos for Lagos movement were outside, and this time, we are back inside,” he said. “So, it won’t be the same thing as what you witnessed in 2023.”
Pointing to Tinubu’s nationwide reach, he added: “2027, not only in Lagos but in the entire country, is going to be a walkover for the man whose courage has given us a lot in this country today.”
Tinubu emerged winner of the 2023 presidential election after defeating PDP’s Atiku Abubakar, Labour Party’s Peter Obi, and other challengers.
However, his loss in Lagos State to Obi was widely interpreted as a symbolic blow to his political dominance in his home base.

Jandor, who placed third in the Lagos governorship race behind Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the APC and Labour Party’s Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, quit the PDP in March.
Announcing his return to the APC, he described the ruling party as one that prizes victory regardless of who carries its ticket.
Back in Tinubu’s fold, Jandor confirmed he will again seek the governorship of Lagos in 2027.
“What you heard yesterday is for us to once again to express our can do ability and give a shot to the same seat that we gun for during the last electioneering process,” he explained.
“Of course because there is nothing to do now except to run for the same office. There is no vacancy in Aso Rock till 2031, I would have said maybe the next thing should be me running for president.
“So, you heard it yesterday, we are keeping our eyes on the ball, doing the needful, let’s start galvanising support for the party across the state.
“At the end of the day, whoever the party picks to run is whom all of us will rally round and support, but for Jandor, I am running in 2027 and I have so declared.”
He also welcomed the buzz around Seyi Tinubu possibly entering the Lagos governorship race, saying the president’s son was qualified to stand in the primary.
Jandor pledged that if Seyi became the APC candidate, he would give him his full backing.
