Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has congratulated former Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon (retd.), on his 91st birthday anniversary, describing him as a towering national figure and an extraordinary peace-builder.

In a statement issued on Sunday in Jos by his Director of Press and Public Affairs, Dr. Gyang Bere, the governor commended Gowon’s exemplary leadership, patriotism, and enduring contributions to Nigeria’s unity and nation-building.

“It is with profound humility and immense joy that I join the global community in celebrating Gen. Yakubu Gowon on his remarkable 91st birthday. He is not only a revered father figure and a beacon of peace to millions of Nigerians but also an iconic statesman whose life and legacy continue to inspire transformative leadership and national cohesion,” the statement quoted Mutfwang as saying.
