Governors Hail Tinubu As He Marks 74th Birthday

Governors under the Nigeria Governors’ Forum have extended congratulations to President Bola Tinubu on his 74th birthday, commending his leadership and economic reforms.

In a goodwill message issued on Sunday, the Forum’s Chairman and Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, praised Tinubu for guiding the nation with “uncommon courage, wisdom and tact” since taking office.

“I join the rest of our country to celebrate His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, on his 74th birthday anniversary,” AbdulRazaq said, highlighting the administration’s achievements in revenue generation and infrastructure development across states.

“H.E. President Tinubu has led our country with uncommon courage, wisdom and tact these past years.

We acknowledge the gains from his bold economic reforms, especially the appreciable rise in revenue, which has contributed to infrastructural growth across subnationals,” he added.

Speaking on behalf of the Forum’s members, AbdulRazaq wished the President continued good health and longevity.

“On behalf of myself and my colleagues at the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, I wish Mr. President good health, more grace, and longer life as he continues to work hard to deliver on the Renewed Hope Agenda,” he said.

Reports indicate that President Tinubu has chosen to observe his 74th birthday in a low-key manner, citing the current national mood and ongoing challenges facing the country.

In a personally signed statement released on Sunday, the President thanked Nigerians for their support and goodwill messages while explaining his decision for a subdued celebration.

“Consistent with my tradition of marking my birthday in line with the mood of the nation, I resolved to observe this year’s birthday in a low-key manner,” Tinubu said.

He expressed gratitude to citizens nationwide for their prayers, love, and solidarity, emphasizing that such support strengthens his administration.
