Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State and Senator Solomon Adeola, also known as Yayi, have commended President Bola Tinubu on his 74th birthday, describing him as a determined and visionary leader whose dedication to democracy is helping to build a stronger Nigeria.
Both leaders, representing Ogun West Senatorial District, shared their congratulations in separate statements released to journalists on Sunday.
In his message, Governor Abiodun praised Tinubu as a transformative leader steering Nigeria toward stability and progress. Through a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Kayode Akinmade, Abiodun expressed that he feels “immensely blessed and privileged” to serve under the President’s leadership.
He highlighted Tinubu’s extensive experience in politics and business, noting that the President’s passion, vision, and commitment to service are evident in his administration’s policies and direction. Abiodun also lauded Tinubu’s role as a pro-democracy advocate, saying he is “at the forefront of efforts to consolidate democracy in our country,” inspiring confidence across Nigeria.
The governor further commended the administration’s economic reforms, particularly the removal of fuel subsidies and correction of foreign exchange distortions, describing them as “hard but necessary decisions” intended to reposition the economy. According to Abiodun, these measures have contributed to more stable fuel prices, a predictable foreign exchange market, and stronger national reserves. He also noted that Nigeria is becoming increasingly attractive to investors under Tinubu’s business-friendly policies, with positive impacts already visible in Ogun State.
