A yet-to-be-identified man parked his car on a bridge and reportedly jumped into the Lagos Lagoon.
The incident was, however, prevented after local fishermen quickly intervened and pulled him from the water.
A video of the rescue was shared by the brother of former Ekiti State governor, Ayo Fayose, Isaac Fayose on his Instagram handle on Wednesday.
Isaac Fayose raised concern about the development and urged Nigerians to check on their loved ones.

“Please, check on your family and friends. This just happened today. Who knows what went wrong,” he wrote.
First Daily correspondent could not ascertain the circumstances that led to the incident, as they remain unclear, and authorities have yet to issue an official statement.
The Lagos State Police Command had not confirmed the incident as of the time of filing this report.
