Governor Babagana Zulum has reiterated his administration’s resolve to strengthen security and continue the resettlement of communities displaced by insurgency across Borno State.
The governor made the pledge in a statement issued on Wednesday by his spokesperson, Dauda Iliya, as Muslims across the country marked the 2026 Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
Zulum, who is currently in Saudi Arabia for the holy pilgrimage, urged residents to embrace the virtues of sacrifice, tolerance, compassion and peaceful coexistence during the festive season.
He said the celebration should also serve as an opportunity for Nigerians to extend support to vulnerable persons and promote unity within communities.
The governor assured residents that his administration would sustain collaboration with the military, security agencies and volunteer groups to maintain peace and stability in the state.
“We will continue to work closely with the military and other security agencies, as well as volunteer forces, to ensure peace and tranquillity in our communities,” Zulum stated.

According to the governor, his administration remains focused on rebuilding communities and improving the welfare of citizens affected by years of insecurity.
Zulum also reaffirmed his commitment to completing ongoing infrastructural and developmental projects across the state before leaving office.
The governor commended members of the All Progressives Congress for the peaceful conduct of the party’s primary elections in the state and appealed to Nigerians to continue praying for lasting peace in Borno and the country at large.
