A native of Ilukuno-Ekiti in Ijero Local Government Area, Akingbade is a Fellow of ICAN and the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria. He holds an MBA in Financial Management and previously served as the state’s Commissioner for Finance.

The appointments come as Oyebanji begins his second four-year term following his inauguration on October 16, 2026.
