Abiodun Swears In Two Ogun Commissioners, Demands Results

Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has sworn in Olayemi Sanusi and Adenike Ademokun as commissioners, charging them to uphold accountability and improve service delivery.

The ceremony took place on Monday, October 19, 2026, at the Governor’s Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

Abiodun urged the appointees to place the state’s interests above personal ambitions and political considerations, stressing the need for integrity and responsible management of public resources.

He also called for stronger cooperation within the State Executive Council, continuity of ongoing projects and efficient implementation of government programmes.

With his administration approaching the end of its tenure, the governor tasked the commissioners with helping to sustain its achievements under the Building Our Future Together agenda.

The appointments followed the Ogun State House of Assembly’s confirmation of both nominees in May 2026.

Sanusi previously served as the governor’s Special Assistant on Agriculture and Food Security, while Ademokun had served as a commissioner in the State Civil Service Commission.

Abiodun said his administration remained committed to advancing Ogun State’s development and economic growth during the remaining period of its tenure.
