Nollywood actress Kemz has opened up about one of the deepest regrets of her life, revealing that she still struggles to forgive herself for taking her late mother for granted while she was alive.
The actress made the emotional disclosure in a tearful video shared via her Instagram page in the early hours of Monday, where she reflected on her childhood, the loss of her mother, and the painful lessons she has carried ever since.
Kemz admitted that as a young girl, she often admired and longed for the affection of other people’s mothers, failing to appreciate the love and sacrifices of her own mother until it was too late.
According to her, she now lives with the painful realization that she overlooked the woman who cared for her most.
“I craved other people’s mothers as a young girl. I never valued my own mother until she died,” she said emotionally.

The actress described her mother’s death as a turning point in her life, saying it exposed the depth of her mother’s unconditional love and left her with a regret she has been unable to shake.
Kemz disclosed that despite the passage of time, she has not forgiven herself for failing to cherish her mother while she had the opportunity.
“I still haven’t forgiven myself,” she confessed.
She urged people who are still privileged to have their parents alive not to repeat her mistake, encouraging them to show love, appreciation and spend quality time with them before it becomes impossible.
