The Governor of Ondo State, Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has asserted that President Bola Tinubu is poised to win the 2027 presidential election in all 36 states, a feat that would be unprecedented in Nigeria’s political history.
Aiyedatiwa made the declaration during the inauguration of SWAGA 2.0, a pro-Tinubu political group called the South West Agenda for Asiwaju, held in Akure, the Ondo State capital, on Wednesday.
The group is chaired by Senator Dayo Adeyeye, who also serves as Chairman of the Nigerian Ports Authority.
The governor expressed confidence that no opposition could prevent Tinubu from securing a landslide victory in next year’s election, citing the President’s ongoing economic and sectoral reforms as evidence of his effective governance.
“The economy was on the verge of collapse when Tinubu came on board. It was almost collapsing at a time when crude oil was being used to borrow money and naira was being printed.
So, the work will be easier now for SWAGA, especially with what we have seen in the political space in Nigeria,” Aiyedatiwa said.
He added, “Those who have not joined us do not have a national spread, so we can leave them in their parties.
What I am trying to say is that the whole nation has seen the quality of the President that we have, and there is no alternative now. That is why everybody has decided to join the President’s party. He is the leader of our party.
As it is now, Tinubu may be the first president to win all 36 states. As you have come to launch SWAGA in Ondo State, you want to tap into that good fortune.
I won all the 18 local government areas, so it is not impossible for the President to also achieve that.”
Earlier, SWAGA Chairman and former Senator Dayo Adeyeye also predicted a sweeping victory for Tinubu, praising the President’s efforts in stabilizing the economy since assuming office in 2023.
Adeyeye emphasized that Nigerians had benefitted from the administration’s policies across sectors.
“Asiwaju came at the right moment; we were at a precipice, and he pulled us back to the path of development. Let us imagine what would have happened if he was not President today.

Nigeria would have gone backwards if he had not taken bold decisions. Before, we had incessant ASUU strikes, but now it is a thing of the past. Today, all their issues have been resolved.
We are proud to say that the man we presented to Nigeria has performed beyond expectations, and he deserves re-election. His second term will build on the foundation he has laid,” Adeyeye said.
The Convener of SWAGA, Mr Oyetunde Ojo, reiterated the group’s support for Tinubu, noting that governors and other political figures were increasingly aligning with the President.
“This is a man who has done a lot, and that is why we are coming out to ask Nigerians to assess his performance.
You can see governors defecting. Did anyone force them? No. Those who did not believe in him before now say they trust him and are joining our party.
We have also visited the Deji of Akure, one of the first traditional rulers who supported us about three and a half years ago and said Tinubu would become President,” Ojo said.
The inauguration of SWAGA 2.0 in Ondo underscores the group’s renewed efforts to mobilize support for President Tinubu ahead of the 2027 election, building on his administration’s perceived successes in governance and economic recovery.
