APC Chieftain Withdraws Support For Tinubu

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kebbi State, Adamu Yahaya, popularly known as Adam Fakai, has announced his decision to withdraw support for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Fakai disclosed this in a statement, attributing his decision to what he described as a lack of recognition from leaders of the ruling party despite his efforts to promote the administration’s activities and achievements.

According to him, he devoted more than two years to travelling across the country, documenting and publicising projects executed by the Federal Government under President Tinubu’s administration.

He said he spent his personal resources, time and energy promoting the administration because he believed in the President’s vision and development agenda.

Fakai, however, lamented that neither state nor federal leaders of the APC acknowledged his contributions or provided any form of support.

He also alleged that some prominent political figures used photographs and videos of government projects that he had documented without seeking his permission or giving him due credit.

According to him, the experience left him disappointed and convinced him to stop promoting the administration’s programmes and policies.

Fakai further stated that he believed the outcome might have been different if he had come from another state.

Despite his decision, he expressed gratitude to individuals who encouraged and supported him during the period.

The APC chieftain gained prominence on social media for sharing pictures, videos and reports highlighting infrastructure projects and other initiatives undertaken by the Tinubu administration across different parts of the country.

His announcement comes as political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections continue to gather momentum.
