APC E-Registration Hits Over 7m Members — Nat’l Youth Leader

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has registered over seven million new members since its e-registration exercise began nationwide, according to the party’s National Youth Leader, Dr Dayo Israel.

Israel disclosed this on Monday, February 2, while visiting wards in Abeokuta South and North Local Governments in Ogun State to monitor the ongoing e-registration exercise.

“We are on a good start, we have over 7 million people who have joined our party since we began the exercise across the country, and we know that we are going to do more over the next week,” he said.

The youth leader expressed satisfaction with progress in Ogun State but set an ambitious target for the state.

“We have met with the people, and we have seen what they are doing both at the level of the party and the government, and we are happy that the exercise is going on fine.

“We charge everyone to do more because it is our earnest expectation that Ogun State must hit half a million,” he said.

Israel noted that the APC’s e-registration was helping the party build a reliable membership database.

“The e-registration is really helping us to see the data, and right now we believe that we need to do more to get more young people on board,” he said.

He urged young Nigerians to stop watching from the sidelines and actively participate in politics.

“It is not enough to stand by the sidelines and be complaining; we want the youth to be part of the process, to be at the table and contribute their quota to making the country great,” he added.

Israel also praised President Bola Tinubu’s youth inclusion policies, describing him as the political leader who has done the most for young Nigerians. He urged youths to support Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
