JAMB To Give Free UTME Forms To Persons With Disabilities

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that persons with disabilities (PWDs) will receive free application documents for the 2026/2027 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

The announcement was made on Monday, February 2, 2026, at the Board’s headquarters in Abuja.

The Registrar, Professor Is‑haq Oloyede, said the move is designed to remove financial and logistical barriers and ensure equal access to tertiary education for all qualified candidates.

Under the programme, eligible PWD candidates will obtain UTME application documents free of charge through the JAMB Equal Opportunity Group (JEOG).

The scheme covers persons living with conditions such as Down syndrome, autism, dyslexia, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and other recognised disabilities.

To qualify, candidates must have at least five O’Level credits obtained in no more than two sittings.

JAMB will also provide audiobooks in accessible formats for blind candidates to support their exam preparation.

Professor Oloyede described the policy as part of the Board’s commitment to inclusivity, stressing that no qualified candidate should be denied the opportunity to sit for the UTME due to disability.
