Troops of the Joint Task Force (North East), Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), have successfully repelled multiple coordinated terrorist attacks and carried out follow-on precision strikes, while also rescuing abducted civilians.
According to a statement issued by the Media Information Officer, HQ Joint Task Force, Lt. Sani Uba, shared on the Nigerian Army’s Facebook page on Thursday night.
It was gathered that the troops thwarted attacks on Kanama, Ngoshe, and Banki across the theatre of operations.
The assaults, which occurred at different times, were decisively countered through what the military described as vigilant troop response and effective fire control.
No casualties or damage were reported.
The military said the failed attacks demonstrate the sustained combat readiness of OPHK forces and their continued dominance in restricting terrorist movements and operations.
The statement added that an airstrike was conducted in the Sowolowolo area of the Sambisa Forest axis, followed by confirmed intelligence and the destruction of remaining terrorist gun trucks.
The operation reportedly brought the total number of neutralised vehicles in the area to three.
Another airstrike targeted terrorists at Kaniram in the Mallam Fatori axis, where insurgents were reportedly observed burying their dead following earlier military engagements.

The strike resulted in the neutralisation of several fleeing and regrouping fighters.
Ground operations also yielded significant results. Troops of Sector 1, under the 26 Brigade, carried out search-and-rescue missions towards the Mandara Mountains, successfully freeing 15 women and children who had been abducted by terrorists.
In what the military described as a “desperate but ineffective response,” suspected Jama’atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda’awati wal-Jihad (JAS) elements fired projectiles into Gwoza, though no casualties or damage were recorded.
The military noted that the combined successes highlight sustained offensive pressure, effective coordination between air and ground forces, and a commitment to civilian protection.
Troops have been urged to maintain momentum in ongoing operations aimed at dismantling terrorist networks across the region.
The High Command commended personnel for their gallantry and resilience, emphasising the importance of continued vigilance in securing the North-East.
