Army Nabs Notorious Bandit TikToker Sule Yellow In Niger

Nigerian troops have arrested a suspected bandit identified as Sule Yellow, who reportedly used a social media platform TikTok with the user name #suleyellow6 to post the activities of terrorist groups.

According to a post accompanied by a video shared by an X user #mobilisingniger on Monday, the suspect was apprehended shortly after he allegedly collected ransom money from the relatives of a kidnapping victim.

First Daily correspondent reports that before his arrest, Sule Yellow was highly active on TikTok, where he frequently posted content highlighting the operations of bandits.

Our correspondent learnt that on March 4, he reportedly appeared on a livestream alongside another suspected bandit identified as Auta and others.

It was gathered that security operatives tracked his activities before moving in to arrest him.

After the arrest, authorities also disabled the TikTok account linked to him.

The post read, “The Nigerian Military arrests a notorious bandit Sule Yellow after collecting ransom payment from the victim’s family,” the post stated.

“The security forces have since disabled his account after the arrest was made.”
