Bandits Attack NSCDC Outpost in Niger, Steal Rifle

Suspected armed bandits have attacked a Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) outpost in Niger State and made away with a service rifle.

The attack took place at an NSCDC nipping point in Ibrahim Leteh Village along the Wawa–Luma Road in the early hours of Tuesday.

According to a post shared on X by security analyst and counter-insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama on Tuesday, the attackers stormed the outpost around 4:30 a.m. and opened fire on the facility.

The post revealed that the two NSCDC personnel on duty took cover as the bandits shot repeatedly at the patrol vehicle and the small office at the location.

During the attack, the assailants reportedly stole one G3 riffle officially assigned to an NSCDC officer.

After the incident, it was gathered that security operatives visited the scene and documented the damage for investigation.

As of the time of filing this report, First Daily correspondent learnt that no casualty was recorded.
