Big Brother Naija 2025 Set to Premiere July 26 with Record-Breaking Prize

Television giant MultiChoice Nigeria has confirmed that the highly anticipated 2025 edition of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) will officially launch on July 26, marking the return of one of Africa’s most-watched reality shows.

In a media briefing held Wednesday, the show’s organisers revealed that this season will break new ground — offering a jaw-dropping ₦150 million grand prize to the winner, the most substantial payout in the history of the series since its 2006 inception.

Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, a household name in Nigerian media and longtime host of BBNaija, is set to return for another season, continuing his legacy of steering the show through its twists, tensions, and triumphs.

Last year’s season, themed “No Loose Guard”, introduced a fresh twist: contestants auditioned and entered the house in pairs. However, alliances were short-lived as housemates were later separated to compete individually.

The 2024 crown was ultimately clinched by Kellyrae, who made headlines not only for his win but also for becoming the first married contestant to ever take home the title and its ₦100 million reward.

For the upcoming season, BBNaija revived in-person auditions, a move that brought thousands of hopefuls to physical audition venues between May 16 and 18 across Nigeria — a clear sign of the show’s enduring cultural relevance and fan enthusiasm.

With excitement building and stakes higher than ever, viewers can expect another unforgettable ride as BBNaija 2025 takes over screens once again.

Stay tuned for more updates as the countdown begins.
