Nigerian social media personality and influencer Bobrisky has criticised some guests who attended the memorial service and night of songs held in honour of late Nollywood actor Alex Ekubo.
The controversial influencer shared her thoughts via her Instagram page on Thursday, a day after family, friends, colleagues and well-wishers gathered for the emotional service of songs celebrating the actor’s life.
In a post that has since sparked reactions online, Bobrisky questioned the choice of outfits worn by some attendees, arguing that a memorial event should not be treated like a fashion show or white party.
“It’s service of song not a WHITE party. What’s with all that heavy makeup, high heels, dresses that shows curves and all.
“I don’t have a problem dressing classy and stunning but showing skin, thighs, cleavage to a burial YOU DEY CRAZE,” Bobrisky wrote.

The influencer further suggested that some women attend such events primarily to attract attention rather than to mourn or pay their respects.
“Some Nigeria girls fit hustle for mortuary if they allow them,” Bobrisky added in the caption accompanying the post.
The comments came amid widespread tributes for Alex Ekubo, whose service of songs attracted several celebrities, actors, actresses and entertainment industry figures.
While some social media users agreed with Bobrisky’s stance, arguing that funerals and memorial services should be approached with greater modesty and decorum, others maintained that people should be free to dress respectfully according to their personal style.
The post has continued to generate debate online, with many Nigerians discussing the balance between fashion, self-expression and appropriate dressing at solemn occasions.
