CAF Confederation Cup: Zito Mocks Kwara United After 1-0 Defeat in Ilorin

Kwara United’s CAF Confederation Cup campaign suffered a major setback on Sunday as they fell 0-1 at home to Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko in Ilorin.

The defeat meant the Harmony Boys were beaten both home and away by the Porcupine Warriors, crashing out of the competition on aggregate.

Asante Kotoko’s coach, Karim Zito, did not hold back after the win, taking a swipe at his Nigerian counterpart over his coaching credentials.

“Kwara United’s coach, who doesn’t even have a license, was talking nonsense when I defeated him in Ghana,” Zito said. “I have taught him a lesson by beating him again today.”

The result leaves Kwara United disappointed in front of their fans, while Kotoko march on confidently to the next round of the CAF Confederation Cup.
