The Federal High Court in Warri has issued an order directing the Nigeria Police Force and the Inspector General of Police to “maintain the status quo” in the case challenging the enforcement of the tinted glass permit policy.
The ruling came on Friday, the 3rd of October, 2025, in Suit No. FHC/WR/CS/103/2025, which was brought before the court by lawyer John Aikpokpo-Martins against the IGP and the NPF.

According to NBA Publicity Secretary, Bridget Edokwe, the judge ordered the police to “respect judicial processes and refrain from any action that could undermine the pending case.”
