Fresh controversy has emerged around Nigerian music star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, following a series of posts made on Instagram by Anu Adeleke’s mother, who alleges that the singer is the biological father of her daughter.
In the lengthy post shared on Tuesday, the woman reignited longstanding claims surrounding Anu Adeleke’s paternity, insisting that she has consistently sought recognition and an independent DNA test to establish her child’s identity. She disputed past claims that DNA tests had disproved Davido’s paternity, describing earlier tests as “fake” and alleging that they were neither transparent nor independently conducted.
According to her account, she met Davido in early 2013, before he rose to global fame, and maintained that their relationship predated his stardom. She further alleged that financial support was provided around the time of the child’s naming ceremony in 2013, which she believes supports her claims.
The post also referenced public figures and commentators who had previously spoken on the issue, accusing some of defending Davido’s image rather than advocating for a conclusive and impartial resolution. She questioned why, despite years of public debate, an independent DNA test had not been jointly arranged.
