Nigerian music star Davido has firmly rejected renewed claims from a teenager requesting a DNA test to prove he is her father.
The matter resurfaced on Thursday, January 15, 2026, when 13‑year-old Anu Adeleke publicly appealed for clarity, citing years of emotional distress and bullying over uncertainty about her parentage.
In her social media post, Anu explained that growing up without knowing her father had been challenging and requested a DNA test to confirm her identity.
Responding the same day, Davido stated that five DNA tests conducted previously all returned negative results, confirming he is not biologically related to the girl.
He told Anu and her mother to go look for her biological father elsewhere and emphasized that he has never met the girl’s mother, and described the renewed claim as “very stupid.”
He added that he would not address the issue publicly again.

The controversy has lingered for years. Earlier DNA tests reportedly showed Davido is not the girl’s father, a position he continues to uphold.
