D’Tigress Fall To Germany As Macaulay Earns All-Star Honour

Nigeria’s women’s basketball team, D’Tigress, suffered an 81–73 defeat to Germany in their latest outing at the 2026 FIBA Women’s World Cup Qualifiers.

The eight-point loss marked a challenging end to the fixture for the Nigerian side, who battled throughout but were unable to contain a disciplined German team that maintained control in key moments of the game.

Despite the setback, there was a significant individual milestone for Nigeria as Victoria Macaulay delivered an outstanding performance across the tournament to earn a place in the prestigious All-Star Five of the qualifiers held in Lyon, France.
