FIFA Unveils First-Ever Championship Rings For World Cup Winners

FIFA has introduced championship rings for FIFA World Cup winners, marking the first time in the tournament’s history that champions will receive the honour.

The world football governing body announced on Thursday, July 16, that the winners of the 2026 FIFA World Cup will be presented with custom-made rings alongside the iconic World Cup Trophy and gold medals.

Only 30 rings will be awarded to members of the title-winning team. FIFA will also produce 2,026 individually numbered rings to commemorate the tournament, with the remaining 1,996 to be sold globally as officially licensed collectibles.

Each ring will feature the FIFA World Cup Trophy and be personalized to reflect the identity of the eventual champions.

The rings will be presented after the 2026 FIFA World Cup final on Sunday, July 19, at New York New Jersey Stadium, introducing a new tradition to football’s biggest tournament while giving fans the opportunity to own a limited-edition piece of World Cup history.
