Thousands of residents in Bangkok were forced to seek shelter on Sunday as days of heavy rainfall triggered severe flooding across parts of the Thai capital.
Floodwaters inundated roads, markets and residential areas, leaving residents scrambling to buy essential supplies and salvage belongings from waterlogged homes.
In several neighbourhoods, pedestrians wearing plastic rain ponchos waded through murky water that reached their knees, while some residents used small boats to move through submerged streets.
Others placed personal belongings in plastic containers and floated them through the floodwaters as they attempted to move to safer areas.

The persistent rainfall has disrupted daily life across the city, with residents facing difficulties accessing homes, markets and major roads.
Emergency shelters were opened to accommodate people displaced by the rising waters, while affected residents worked to drain and dry their homes as flood levels began to recede in some areas.
The flooding has highlighted the challenges facing Bangkok, a densely populated city that is vulnerable to heavy rainfall and water accumulation.
