Former Super Eagles Striker Michael Eneramo Dies After Collapse In Kaduna

Tragedy struck the Nigerian football community on Friday following the sudden death of former Super Eagles forward Michael Eneramo, who collapsed during a local football match in Kaduna State.

The 40-year-old was featuring at the Angwan Yelwa pitch in the Television area of Kaduna when the incident occurred.

According to eyewitness accounts, Eneramo had come on as a second-half substitute before unexpectedly slumping to the ground without any contact from fellow players.

Efforts to revive the former international on the pitch proved unsuccessful, as those present scrambled to save his life. He was subsequently rushed to a nearby hospital, where medical personnel confirmed him dead.

Eneramo’s passing has sent shockwaves through the football fraternity, given his contributions both on and off the pitch.

During his professional career, he played for notable clubs including Beşiktaş J.K., Espérance Sportive de Tunis, and Lobi Stars F.C., earning a reputation as a reliable forward.
