Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has urged residents of the state to rally behind President Bola Tinubu, saying sustained cooperation between the state and the federal government will bring greater development benefits to Rivers people.
Governor Fubara made the appeal on Thursday, December 11, at the commissioning of the 12-kilometre Egbeda–Omerelu link road connecting communities in Emohua and Ikwerre Local Government Areas.
He assured that his administration is ready to work with all pro-Tinubu groups and stakeholders committed to the President’s re-election, emphasising that political stability at the national level is essential for meaningful progress.
Fubara described the newly completed road as “another fulfilled promise,” recalling his earlier commitment to the project when he inaugurated other road developments in the same area last year.
He reaffirmed that inclusive growth remains a core goal of his administration, pledging that “no part of Rivers State will be left behind” as government projects continue to spread across urban and rural communities.

The governor explained that his decision to openly commission completed projects was to show transparency and strengthen public trust in leadership.
According to him, public inaugurations are not mandatory globally, but they reassure citizens at a time of rising political tension and misinformation.
He appealed for peace and unity across the state, warning that sustained progress cannot be achieved amid conflict.
Despite what he described as “tribulations and political pressures,” Fubara said his government remains focused on delivering the dividends of democracy and improving the welfare of Rivers people.
He pledged that more development projects will soon be unveiled, assuring residents that his administration is committed to building a “prosperous and inclusive Rivers State where everyone feels the impact of governance.”
