Nollywood star Jemima Osunde has put an end to swirling rumors about her relationship with new Super Eagles striker, Tolu Arokodare.
The speculation began when the actress excitedly celebrated Arokodare’s call-up to the Nigerian national team, sparking assumptions that they were romantically involved.
The Genk forward was among the 23-man squad selected by newly appointed Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.
Overflowing with joy, Osunde took to her X handle on the 20th of March, 2025, declaring, “My family member is playing for Nigeria! As in, he’s really one of the 23 Super Eagles this season. What a life! I’m about to be a menace, it’s TEA time babyyyyyy.”
Her post sent tongues wagging, with many speculating that she was married to the football star.

However, Osunde swiftly shut down the assumptions, clarifying their relationship in another post.
“He’s not my husband, he’s my friend that’s basically become family. I am so so proud of him and his journey so far. I pray for him and for the entire team to make us all proud! Giving them all my love and support as you should too! Team Naija.”
With that, the actress made it clear her bond with Arokodare is one of deep friendship and unwavering support, not romance.
