The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, has approved a series of redeployments within the Nigeria Police Force, appointing Olatunji Fatai as the new Commissioner of Police in Lagos State.
Fatai will replace AIG Moshood Jimoh, who has been redeployed to Zone 2, Lagos, following his recent promotion.
According to a statement on Tuesday by the Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Anthony Placid, “The postings are in line with the Force’s commitment to an effective command structure and the strategic deployment of personnel across commands, formations, and departments.”
The redeployments are intended to strengthen operations, enhance leadership capacity, and improve service delivery nationwide.

At the commissioner level, CP Muhammed Sanusi Ahmed was posted to head the Federal Capital Territory Command, while CP Haruna Alaba Yahaya, CP Olugbenga Ayodeji Abimbola, and CP Olubode Ojajuni were deployed to Jigawa, Oyo, and Ogun state commands, respectively.
Other postings include CP Michael Adegoroye Falade to Ekiti, CP Yakubu Useni Dankaro to Adamawa, CP Morkwap S. Dongshal to Taraba, CP Ahmed Mohammed Bello to Zamfara, CP Umar Ali Fagge to Katsina, and CP Hayatu Shaffa Hassan to Sokoto State Command.
Several other senior officers were assigned to strategic departments and units, including INTERPOL, Special Protection Unit, FCID Annex offices, and police training institutions across the country.
The IGP charged the officers to bring their experience to their new roles and uphold “the highest standards of professionalism, discipline, and service in the discharge of their duties.”
