Iheanacho Switch to Celtic after free transfer agreement

Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho is set to begin a new chapter in Scotland after agreeing to join Celtic FC on a free transfer.

The 28-year-old forward, who recently parted ways with Sevilla, has reached a full agreement with the Scottish Premiership champions and will be unveiled in the coming days.

Iheanacho arrives at Celtic Park with vast experience, having played in the Premier League with Manchester City and Leicester City, where he lifted the FA Cup in 2021, before moving to Spain.

His signing is expected to bolster Brendan Rodgers’ attacking options as the club eyes another strong domestic campaign and seeks to make an impact in European competitions.

With over 40 caps for Nigeria, Iheanacho’s move to Glasgow is seen as a major coup for Celtic, who beat competition from several European clubs to secure his signature.
