Insecurity: Bauchi Federal Poly Shuts Down All Academic Activities

The Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi, has suspended all academic activities following a directive by the Bauchi State Government ordering the closure of schools across the state due to escalating insecurity.

The suspension was announced in an internal memo issued on Monday by the Deputy Registrar (Academics), Safiyo Yila, on behalf of the Registrar. The memo, addressed to staff and students, stated that the action was in compliance with the state government’s directive shutting all primary, secondary and tertiary institutions.

“Sequel to the public announcement by the Bauchi State Government, which directed the closure of all primary, secondary and tertiary institutions within the state due to security concerns, I am directed to inform you that all academic activities have been suspended with immediate effect,” the memo read.
