The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has moved the deadline for candidates with outstanding admission offers from 2021 to 2025 to either accept or reject them on the Central Admissions Processing System to November 30, 2026.
The board disclosed the extension in a statement published on its X handle on Wednesday, directing affected candidates to log into their CAPS accounts and indicate their decisions before the new deadline.
“JAMB has extended the deadline for affected candidates to 30 November 2026 to accept or reject their outstanding admission offers on CAPS.”
JAMB warned that candidates who fail to act within the extended period would lose the status of their outstanding offers on its records.
“After 30 November, outstanding offers that have neither been accepted nor rejected will revert to ‘Not Admitted’ on JAMB’s records,” it said.
The board advised affected candidates not to wait until the deadline before accessing their CAPS accounts and completing the required process.
The latest extension replaces the September 30, 2026 deadline earlier announced by JAMB on August 30 for candidates who had received admission offers from 2021 to date.

Before then, the board had fixed August 31 as the deadline for candidates to accept or reject the outstanding offers but subsequently extended it to September 30.
In its earlier announcement, JAMB said candidates who accepted their outstanding offers would be able to print and obtain their admission letters, while those who rejected theirs would have their dashboards changed to “Not Admitted”.
The board also explained that candidates who had subsequently transferred to another institution or programme could still accept their previous outstanding admission and then seek the relevant correction or deletion where necessary.
It further clarified that candidates admitted during the 2026 admission exercise but who still had earlier offers pending could reject the previous offers without jeopardising their 2026 admissions.
However, JAMB said candidates whose outstanding offers from 2021 to 2025 remain unattended to after November 30 would automatically have their status changed to “Not Admitted”.
“Any subsequent request to update such an admission will attract the applicable penalty fee,” JAMB warned.
The board therefore urged all affected candidates to access their CAPS accounts and conclude the acceptance or rejection process before the November 30 deadline.
