The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) on Wednesday said its operatives, working with the Lagos State Ambulance Service (LASAMBUS), rescued three accident victims in two separate crashes across Lagos.
The update was posted on LASTMA’s official page on X.
According to the agency, the first accident occurred along Ozumba Mbadiwe Road, Victoria Island, where a Ford vehicle (APP 413 YH) lost control due to speeding on a rain-soaked road. The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, sustained severe chest injuries and was rendered unconscious.
He was revived on-site by LASAMBUS personnel before being taken to the hospital, while Bar Beach Division police officers secured the scene.

In a second incident at Volks, inward Abule-Ado, a Coaster bus (NCA 118 XB) collided with a Mini bus (FKJ 118 XB), leaving two male passengers seriously injured. They were taken to GMC Hospital, Ilaje, with assistance from Ojo Division police.
LASTMA General Manager, Olalekan Bakare-Oki, urged motorists to drive cautiously during the rainy season to prevent avoidable tragedies.
