Prince Jackson, the eldest son of the late pop icon Michael Jackson, has announced his engagement to longtime girlfriend Molly Schirmang after eight years of dating.
The 28-year-old revealed the news in an Instagram post on Tuesday, August 26, 2025.
Jackson shared a carousel of photos capturing key moments from their relationship, including vacations, college milestones, outdoor activities, and family gatherings.
One of the photos featured the couple sitting beside his grandmother, Katherine Jackson, outside the family’s Hayvenhurst home in Encino, California.
The post was accompanied by Michael Jackson’s 1987 love ballad I Just Can’t Stop Loving You, which Prince used as a tribute to his late father.
Reflecting on their journey together, Jackson wrote:
“8 years down, infinity to go. Molly and I have spent a lot of time together and made incredible memories. We’ve traveled the world, graduated and grown so much together. I’m excited for this next chapter in our lives as we continue to grow and make great memories. I love you, babs.”
Jackson and Schirmang met while studying at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.

They began dating in 2017 and celebrated their first anniversary in 2018 with a trip to San Francisco. Over the years, their relationship has grown steadily, with Jackson describing Schirmang as the perfect balance to his personality.
The engagement has been warmly received by the Jackson family, who have expressed their happiness for the couple.
Prince Jackson, born Michael Joseph Jackson Jr. on February 13, 1997, is the first child of Michael Jackson and Debbie Rowe.
He has largely kept a private life while occasionally appearing at events honoring his father’s legacy.
Schirmang, who studied business administration, has similarly avoided the spotlight, keeping their relationship low-profile despite their public connection.
