The Deputy Commandant General of Nigeria’s Forests Security Services (Special Duties), DCG Sunday Ojakovo, has issued a stern warning to all bandits hiding in Delta State forests, urging them to “leave without further delay or be ready for a showdown.”
Speaking in Ughelli, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, on Friday during the grand finale of a five-day capacity-building training for NFSS officers and men at Government College, Ojakovo declared the agency’s readiness to clear Nigeria’s forests of criminal elements.
He reiterated the commitment of the NFSS to make Nigeria’s forests free of bandits and social vices in no distant time, stressing that criminals currently occupying these areas should leave immediately or they should prepare to face a total showdown.
“Criminals hiding in Nigeria’s forests to carry out their nefarious activities are advised to leave the forests immediately or else they should be ready for a total showdown in no distant time,” he warned.
“We are only waiting for official instructions from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to strike and flush out criminal enemies hiding in the country’s forests to carry out their criminal activities.
“They are advised in their interest to leave before the evil days, as gallant officers and men of NFSS are much more ever ready for an assignment ahead of them.”

He charged his personnel to apply the knowledge gained, stressing that “the security of Nigeria’s forests is in their hands.
“Go and secure the forests of the nation, forests in our communities, and our domains. You are the one who knows them, go and secure them.”
