The actor’s death came days after Kaira and her sister, Lima Taiwo, appealed publicly for medical assistance for their father, who had been battling stage-four cancer.

On Monday, August 17, 2026, the sisters took to social media to seek medical advice and assistance as the actor’s condition deteriorated.

The family subsequently explored other treatment options, including specialised medical procedures and traditional remedies, in an effort to save the actor.

Hassan was a prominent figure in Nigeria’s film industry, particularly in Yoruba-language cinema, where he built a career spanning several decades.

He was widely recognised for his memorable roles and contributions to the growth and popularity of Yoruba films, earning a strong following among audiences across Nigeria and beyond.
