Nollywood actress and filmmaker Foluke Daramola-Salako has officially joined the race for the House of Representatives after picking up the nomination and expression of interest forms of the All Progressives Congress ahead of the 2027 general elections.
She is seeking to represent Oshodi-Isolo Federal Constituency I in Lagos State under the platform of the ruling APC.
Daramola made the disclosure on Thursday, May 14, 2026, when she shared images of herself holding the party’s nomination documents, confirming her formal entry into partisan politics.
The actress said her decision to run was informed by a desire to strengthen grassroots representation and contribute to policies that improve the welfare of residents, with particular attention to youths, women and vulnerable groups.

Daramola, who has been active in Nollywood since the late 1990s, is also known for her advocacy work on social issues, including child protection and gender-based violence.
Her declaration is expected to shape early conversations around the Oshodi-Isolo contest as political alignments begin to take form within the APC.
