Nollywood actress Sharon Ooja has announced the birth of her first child, a baby boy, in an emotional revelation that has stirred excitement across Nigeria’s entertainment industry and social media.
The actress made the announcement on Wednesday through a lengthy post shared on her Instagram page, where she expressed gratitude to God, celebrated motherhood and reflected on her pregnancy journey, which she deliberately kept away from public attention.
“I just gave birth to the most handsome baby boy I have ever seen. I’m still so overwhelmed with joy and gratitude,” she wrote.
Sharon described 2025 and 2026 as the most beautiful years of her life, saying motherhood deepened her understanding of God’s love and faithfulness.
Referencing biblical passages from Genesis and Psalms, the actress said the arrival of her son fulfilled long-held dreams of becoming a mother.
The actress also praised her husband for standing by her throughout the pregnancy, appreciating his emotional, spiritual and physical support during the nine-month journey.

“And to my husband… Thank you for loving me so fiercely beautifully through every stage of our pregnancy.
The prayers, reassurance, back rubs, trips, baths, endless gifts, food runs and the way you carried me emotionally and spiritually these past nine months,” she wrote.
Sharon further revealed that she and her family intentionally kept the pregnancy private in order to enjoy the experience peacefully and away from social media attention.
“Thank you to my family and friends for protecting our peace and allowing this journey to stay private and off social media just as we requested,” she added.
The actress disclosed that the baby’s initials are “W.I.N,” while humorously describing herself as “Mama Win.”
