Ogbia Rep, Ibegu, Joins Diri in PDP Exit, Earns Stakeholders’ Praise

The Member representing Ogbia Constituency 1 in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Hon. Richard Ibegu, has received commendations from stakeholders and political supporters for his loyalty and unwavering support to Governor Douye Diri and the leadership of the Assembly under Speaker Rt. Hon. Ingobere Abraham.

The applause followed the lawmaker’s exit from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) alongside Governor Diri, a development stakeholders described as strategic and timely.

“Governor Diri is a visionary leader whose track record of service remains unquestionable. His decisions are never driven by personal sentiment but by the genuine desire to advance our State,” Ibegu stated.

He further urged his constituents to remain patient and united, assuring that Governor Diri would soon communicate the next political direction.

Speaking on behalf of the stakeholders, Dr. Gospel Ewa, immediate past Vice Chairman of the PDP Caucus in Ogbia LGA, and High Chief Salvation Olerua of Ward 13, pledged total support for the Governor’s leadership and the lawmaker’s decision.
