PDP Crisis Self-Inflicted, Not Tinubu’s Fault – Fayose

Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has absolved President Bola Tinubu of any blame in the internal crisis tearing apart the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Speaking on Politics Today, a Channels Television programme, on Wednesday, October 15, Fayose said the opposition party is beyond saving.

He declared that he would not be part of any effort to revive the PDP, which he described as “dead.”

“The PDP is already gone,” Fayose said. “I won’t be among those that will resurrect the main opposition party.”

The two-term governor also revealed that some PDP governors were already planning to leave the party for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

“It will be unfair to blame Tinubu for the recent defection of Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, and his Bayelsa State counterpart, Duoye Diri, to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC,” he added.
