Ogun ADC Suspends Chairman Over Rally Chaos

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Ogun State has suspended its state chairman, Femi Soluade, pending investigations into allegations that he led armed men to disrupt the governorship declaration of Jimi Lawal on Saturday at the Intercontinental Hotel, Ibara, Abeokuta.

In a statement on Sunday, signed by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Olumide Onabajo, the ADC said the State Executive Committee passed a vote of no confidence in Soluade, describing the alleged actions as a serious breach of party discipline and a threat to public safety.

The party appointed Deputy Chairman Prince Adedeji Abiodun as acting state chairman pending the conclusion of the probe. A disciplinary panel has been set up to investigate the allegations and report back to the State Executive Committee within 14 days.
