Nigerian boxing promoter and Air Peace founder, Allen Ifechukwu Onyema, has pledged a ₦10 million sponsorship for unbeaten West African Boxing Union (WABU) super featherweight champion Elisha Obizulike.
The support package also includes complimentary Air Peace flights for one year.
The sponsorship was announced during a visit by Obizulike to Air Peace’s management team in Lagos.
Onyema said the backing reflects his commitment to nurturing Nigerian boxing talent and providing athletes with the resources to succeed at the highest levels.
Commenting on the sponsorship, Onyema said:
“Your victory has brought pride to Nigeria and highlights the growing influence of Nigerian athletes on the continental stage. You have become a role model to young people across the country. With focus and discipline, I believe you can take this success even further across Africa.”
Obizulike, who remains undefeated in his professional career and clinched the WABU title earlier this month, expressed excitement about the support, describing it as crucial for his career development.

The sponsorship includes ₦10 million in financial support and unlimited domestic and regional flights on Air Peace for 12 months, enabling Obizulike to attend fights, training camps, and promotional events across Nigeria and abroad.
Analysts see Obizulike as a rising star in African boxing, with the potential to compete for continental and global titles.
The partnership with Air Peace is expected to give him the platform to accelerate his career and gain broader exposure in the boxing world.
Through this support, Air Peace reinforces its role not only as Africa’s largest airline but also as a key promoter of Nigerian sporting excellence.
