The Forum of South West Chairmen of the Accord Party has expressed confidence that Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, will win re-election in 2026, citing his strong performance and rising popularity across the region.
In an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos, the forum’s spokesperson and Chairman of Accord Party in Ogun State, Rotimi Oke, said the party’s optimism was grounded in the governor’s achievements, effective leadership, and growing unity within the party.
“If a leader is good, even his critics cannot overlook his genuineness and sincerity in governance,” Oke said.
He described Adeleke’s government as one built on integrity and service rather than political manipulation.
According to him, Adeleke’s leadership has produced measurable results that have improved the lives of Osun residents and strengthened faith in government.

Oke listed some of the governor’s achievements, including improvements in education, healthcare, infrastructure, and debt management.
“The state’s infrastructure deficit dropped from over 80 per cent in 2022 to about 40 per cent in 2025,” he said.
He added that under Adeleke’s administration, Osun’s ranking in national examination performance improved significantly, from 33rd under the previous administration to seventh, while over 40 per cent of the state’s inherited debt has been repaid, a figure confirmed by the Debt Management Office.
“The improvements in educational standards and healthcare delivery under the governor are widely acknowledged, even by the opposition,” Oke said, noting that Osun currently leads the South West in access to primary healthcare services.
He recalled that after Adeleke emerged as the Accord Party’s candidate on December 10, residents of Osogbo trooped out for a spontaneous rally in his support.
“With the level of public support and his performance, the governor will defeat other candidates to win re-election in 2026,” Oke concluded.
