Presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress, Atiku Abubakar, has congratulated Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, on his victory in the state’s governorship election.
Atiku, in a message posted on his X handle on Sunday, said the outcome of the election reflected the decision of Osun voters at the polls.
“I congratulate Governor Ademola Adeleke on his re-election as Governor of Osun State. His victory demonstrates the choice of the people of Osun as expressed at the ballot box,” Atiku said.
He also praised the people of Osun for maintaining peace and participating actively in the electoral process, while wishing Adeleke a successful second term in office.

“I commend the people for their passion and peaceful participation. I wish Governor Adeleke continued success as he continues to serve them,” he added.
The Independent National Electoral Commission declared Adeleke, who contested on the platform of the Accord Party, winner of the election on Sunday.
He polled 511,067 votes to defeat his closest challenger, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress, who secured 444,815 votes.
